273. Let it go
Just as I am about to relax that my baby girl has landed where she was supposed to and that she’s lucky enough to have her luggage as part of the 80% taken aboard I start to relax.
Bing. Goes the phone.
Bing. Bing. Bing.
What now?
‘My next flight about to take off. Minor delay. No worries.’
This time I’ve had enough. I call my husband.
‘She’s waiting for her connecting flight. You know she’s going to …’
I interrupt him. ‘
Of course I know. I was just wondering … You know, it’s been a bit hectic so far …’
‘Relax.’ He tells me. It’s just one of these things.’
O. K. One of ‘these’ things.
And here I am waiting again for her to land somewhere and I don’t know where and I don’t dare ask my husband in case he thinks I’m just incapable.
So to show off I say.
‘This weekend, you and I, let’s go for the real practice run for the great adventure!’
