322. Competition
Well, there is going to be no winner. I will not have to think about a prize which suits me as I do not fancy walking into town in the freezing weather to buy sweets or a pencil that they would probably not appreciate.
The slips of papers are all spread out and I am racking my brains to turn this into some kind of pupil-generated exercice.
'Go and teach in Wales.' (We do have a Welsh language assistant in school right now. And they now know about Wales. Quite an achievement.)
'Go on holiday for ever.' (This seems to be wishful thinking from the student himself.)
'Your dream is to meet Queen Elizabeth II.' (Does this student want me dead?)
'To have a better class than us.' (Obviously I'm not that good at acting.)
'Your dream is to throw our mobile phones out of the window.'
No winner but definitely very revealing of my pedagogical approach. I wonder how they are going to take the fact that there are no winners except perhaps amongst some of my colleagues ... But she wants bags and shoes!
